Shakespeare for every occasion!

A dramatic Shakespearean response to every situation

When something bad happens: True is it that we have seen better days.

When something REALLY bad happens: O woe! O woeful, woeful, woeful day! Most lamentable day. Most woeful day That ever, ever I did yet behold! O day, O day, O day! O hateful day! Never was seen so black a day as this.O woeful day! O woeful day!

When people say that something is wrong because the Bible says so:The Devil can cite scripture for his purpose.

When my girlfriend abandons me for food: FRAILTY, THY NAME IS WOMAN!

When someone doesn't thank me for holding the door open for them:BLOW, BLOW, BLOW, THOU WINTER WIND! THOU ART NOT SO UNKIND AS MAN'S INGRATITUDE!

When I burn something while cooking: MY CAKE IS DOUGH!

When human stupidity frustrates me: LORD, WHAT FOOLS THESE MORTALS BE!

When someone says I'm going to hell for my sins: NYMPH, IN THY ORISONS BE ALL MY SINS REMEMBER'D.

When I'm broke: My pride fell with my fortunes

When someone turns the light on after a period of darkness and blinding light ensues: OH, SHE DOTH TEACH THE TORCHES TO BURN BRIGHT!

When someone disagrees with me: THERE ARE MORE THINGS IN HEAVEN AND EARTH, HORATIO, THEN ARE DREAMT OF IN YOUR PHILOSOPHY.

When I argue with my girlfriend: The course of true love never did run smooth.
When I'm embarrassed: MUST I HOLD A CANDLE TO MY SHAMES?!

Someone says "Good Night": Good Night, Good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow.

When I'm doing the laundry: OUT, damned spot!

I found this here.

Family Reunion!

Had a super fun day at my mom and step-dad's place. My four siblings, their spouses and kids were there and it was so much fun! My brother grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, mom made her famous potato salad and my youngest sister, in her wisdom, brought ice cream! Grandpa took the grandkids (11 of the 12) on horseback rides and later that night put up the tent and all the kids piled in to spend the night in the back yard (under grandpa's watchful eye). There was also a mad water balloon fight, which I wisely skipped out on, although I had devious plans to throw water balloons out the windows as the kids ran by beneath.

Happy Saturday!

So, last night I watched Biggest Loser recaps on Reality Nation Video on YouTube with Matt and Suzy Hoover. They were both on BL Season 2, in fact Matt won. It was one of my most favorite seasons. Anyway, the video I watched was the recap of the Season 13 finale. I didn't watch that season, I'm currently NOT into watching television (I go through fazes, which last a long time), and when I mentioned that I thought I should watch the back episodes more than one person advised me not to bother. Ya, I guess the season was just that bad. I decided to watch the recaps instead, and wow! I learned a lot about 'Reality' tv and it kinda freaked me out a little.

Here's the link if you're interested in watching. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM0x-4M1R_U&feature=g-hist

I applied for the show, went to the casting call in Salt Lake City and recently sent in my video application. I strongly doubt they'll be interested in me, but it's worth a shot right? Right? After watching Matt and Suzy Hoover's recaps and learning a little bit about the behind the scenes stuff, I won't be too disappointed when they don't call me. (I'll just keep telling myself that)

This is me and Deni Hill at the Biggest Loser Casting Call in Salt Lake. She was so great! She showed us pictures of her grandkids. Is there anything cuter than a doting grandmother?

Onto other exciting news! My family is getting together tomorrow and I'm totally excited about it. We're sort of spread all over, though recently we've all started migrating back to the same state, but still it's a good, happy time when we're all together. I'm looking forward to having all my siblings together in one place, and all the nieces and nephews as well. Yippee!

Messing Around in Photoshop

I took this picture at Winchester Cathedral in Winchester, England. I don't know if the statue is supposed to depict a particular person, but the light hit the statue in such an interesting way so I took a picture of it. The last three images are me playing around in photoshop, just experimenting with curves and noise. I think they look pretty creepy...like something out of a thriller.

My New Years Horoscope from Astrology.com

I just knew 2012 was going to be a good year for me! If you want to see your horoscope for 2012 the go here:  /http://shine.yahoo.com/page/2012-horoscope

Year 2012 Overview

Although many have secretly been dreading the arrival of 2012, you've personally been looking forward to it. That's because karmic taskmaster Saturn has been doing a number on your life over the past two-plus years. Relationship lessons have been relentless throughout this time. If you haven't made important decisions about where to commit - and where to quit - these are your final months to do so. Don't wait another 30 years to get clear on what you truly want in your relationships. You'll be in the throes of Saturn's testing until October, when it moves into your neighboring sign, Scorpio. Consider this your final exam!
Jupiter will be in its fellow Venus-ruled sign of Taurus, making a magical aspect to your stars for a good portion of 2012. Jupiter's lucky presence in your sector of sexuality, transformation and other people's money brings every material and emotional resource you could ever want or need. You'll have no problem attracting the proper support to fund your current or future projects. This is also the year for coming into your true power by transforming all the dead weight of your past. Change looks good on you, Libra. You've been shedding layers of karma, and now you're about to reap the wonders of renewal.
World travel beckons in 2012, so pack your bags! The spring-summer eclipse patterns activate your travel sector in May and June, and Venus is in your travel sector between April and August. During the retrograde phase in May and June, you may want to be lay low or avoid more intricate itineraries. Mars will be spending the entire first half of the year in your sector of sleep, unconscious processes and dreams. This could create some inner turbulence (if not all-out insomnia) if you don't give yourself enough expressive and physical outlets. As always, it's about finding balance, Libra.

25 Rules for Mothers of Sons

I don't have children yet, but someday I hope too. I read this post on Team Studer blog and loved it. I think it applies to daughters as much as sons. Check it out: http://studerteam.blogspot.com/2011/11/25-rules-for-mothers-of-sons.html
